
Niger army kills Boko Haram leader in Lake Chad basin operation

Niger’s army said on Thursday it killed Boko Haram leader Bakura during a “surgical operation” on an island in the Lake Chad basin in the Diffa region last week, near the borders with Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon, a statement said.
